Ultra Floor Level IT One HDB 25 KG

Ultra Floor Level IT one HDB is a single part concrete floor leveller containing a compound of specially graded fillers, fine cements and polymers for smoothing and levelling internal floors with irregular substrates, prior to the application of decorative surface flooring. Ultra Floor Level IT one HDB has a set time of approximately 3 hours and can be laid at depths from 3mm to 50mm.

WHERE TO USE

It is suitable for use on all common building substrates including concrete, sand/cement screeds, flooring grade asphalt, floors with under floor heating, and can be used over screwed and fixed boarded floors at 300mm centres.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Before application the surface being adhered to must be clean, firm, dry, free of dust, dirt, oil and grease or any other contaminating barriers. Remove any flaking or peeling layers. The substrate must be strong enough to support the weight of the leveller, adhesive and covering being fixed. Direct to earth sub-floors must have an effective damp proof membrane. All existing damp proof membranes must be functioning effectively.

PRIMING

Porous and timber surfaces should be primed using Ultra Floor Prime IT AR or Ultra Tile Prime IT FP. This will help to prevent water penetration, increase bond strength and reduce the possibility of failure. Ultra Floor Prime IT AR or Ultra Tile Prime IT FP should be diluted 1 part primer to 3 parts water and applied with a roller, brush or spray. Allow the liquid to become translucent and nearly dry before applying Ultra Floor Level IT one HDB. Very porous substrates may require an initial coat diluted 5 parts water to 1 part primer before applying the above.

MIXING

Ultra Floor Level IT one HDB powder should be added to 4.25 litres of clean water in a suitable container and slowly mixed for approximately 3-5 minutes with a slow speed drill and paddle until an homogeneous mixture is obtained. Once mixed the material is immediately ready for use and has a workability time of approximately 20-30 minutes. We would strongly recommend that you do not mix more material than can be used in this time and do not re-wet.

APPLICATION (By Hand)

The mixed material should be poured directly onto the prepared substrate and lightly trowelled to the required thickness with a solid bed trowel to achieve a smooth surface texture. We also recommend the use of a spiked roller.

CLEANING

Tools should be thoroughly cleaned in water to remove excess materials immediately after use.
