Lithofin TC Sealant - 1 Litre

A special product from the LITHOFIN-Range for terracotta and cotto (TC). Lithofin TC Sealant is a ready-to-use, solvent free sealer containing natural waxes and high quality additives. This product is part of the modern method for protective treatment of terracotta.

Properties

Lithofin TC Sealant forms a shiny protective film, which prevents dirt from penetrating into the surface. Maintenance becomes easier because the product also reduces the roughness of the surface. The surface’s appearance is improved while maintaining its natural brightness. The protective film is hard wearing, UV-resistant and does not yellow. Lithofin TC Sealant is easy and safe to apply.

Field of Use

For protecting and embellishing indoor surfaces made from cotto, terracotta, clay slabs, terres quites, etc. Also suitable for pre-treated terracotta tiles.

Please Note: pre-treating untreated and absorbent surfaces with Lithofin TC Impregnator improves the protective effect and makes the surface appear brighter.

Directions for Use

The surface to be treated must be clean and completely dry. Evenly and generously apply Lithofin TC Sealant with a sponge or non-linting wiper. The product can also be sprayed on the surface and then immediately distributed with a sponge. After a drying time of approx. 40 to 60 minutes, apply a second coat. Avoid drips and puddles and ensure that the product is evenly distributed on the surface. On highly absorbent surface, a third coat may be necessary. On pre-treated and waxed surfaces, apply slightly less product. Clean all tools with water.

Please Note: Do not walk on the surface while it is not completely dry. Always treat the entire surface. Avoid or immediately remove splashes on wood, glass, varnish and other sensitive surfaces.

Application Temperature: the temperature of the surface should be between 5°C and 25°C. Switch off under floor heating.

Coverage: approx. 5 to 10m² per litre on soft clay slabs (two coats); approx. 10 to 15m² per litre on Italian cotto (two coats); approx. 10 to 15m² per litre on pre-treated and waxed surfaces.

Advice: for regular maintenance cleaning, we recommend Lithofin EASY-CARE. When necessary, use one cup of Lithofin TC Sealant per 10 litre bucket of water to touch up the protective film.

Storage

Keep closed and cool. Frost-free. Shelf life of up to three years.
