Lithofin TC Classic Primer - 1 Litre

A special product from the LITHOFIN-Range for terracotta (TC). The ready-to-use primer contains silicone- and acrylate resins carried in organic solvents.

Properties

Penetrates into porous surfaces and reduces their absorbency. This treatment renders the surface water repellent and is the precondition for treatment with Lithofin TC Classic Wax.

Field of Use

For priming absorbent terracotta and cotto surfaces, especially Italian cotto. This treatment is the first step of the so called "classic" method for treating terracotta. This treatment is not suitable for non-absorbent surfaces and is for indoor use only.

Directions for Use

The surface to be treated must be completely dry and clean. Shake well before use. Try the product in an inconspicuous area in order to evaluate the effect. Work in small sections 1-2m² and evenly apply the undiluted product with a sponge or foam roller distribute immediately, removing all excesses. Allow to dry for one hour and then apply a second coat, as above, if required. Allow to dry for approx. 4 hours after the final coat then begin application of Lithofin TC Classic Wax.

Please Note: apply the product only after the silcone joints have been fixed.

Application Temperature: between 10°C and 25°C, switch off underfloor heating.

Drying Time: approx. 3-4 hours before further treatment. Fully cured after 3 days. Do not cover surface before then and wipe up any spills immediately.

Coverage: on terracotta approx. 3m² per litre (second coat may be slightly more).

Further Treatment

Lithofin TC Classic Wax. Both products belong together in a system known as the "classic" method.

Storage

Closed, cool and dry. Shelf life of up to 3 years. Open containers should be used quickly.
