Lithofin MN Cobble Wax - 1 Litre

A special product from the LITHOFIN-Range for marble and natural stone (MN). It is a ready-to-use wax system in paste form and contains natural and synthetic wax raw materials, which form a hard-wearing film.

Properties

Lithofin MN Cobble Wax is a solid paste, which is easy to apply and spread. It forms a surface wax layer, which can be polished when dry, and gives the background a coloursaturated, silky shine appearance. The surfaces are also less sensitive, easier to maintain and are made more attractive.

Field of Use

For final treatment of floors in antique tumbled or cobbled marble with sand-blasted, acid or similarly treated surface. To improve resistance to stains the surfaces should also be pre-treated with Lithofin MN Stain-Stop. Treatment results in a strong-colour, antique effect appearance. Lithofin MN Cobble Wax is also used for maintaining already waxed surfaces. It is not suitable for polished or surfaces treated with a topical sealant, or for external use.

Surface Requirements

The surface must be completely dry, clean, free of stains and absorbent. Cement films can be removed with Lithofin MN Builders' Clean. This treatment will make the surface rougher and open the pores of the stone, allowing the wax to penetrate more effectively. Pre-treatment with Lithofin MN Stain-Stop is recommended, to improve resistance to stains. In this case apply Lithofin MN Cobble Wax immediately after about 1-2 hours drying time. The temperature of the surface must not be below +12C

Directions for Use

We strongly recommend applying a sample surface. This shows what the result will be, and gives information on how much to apply, drying time etc. Lithofin MN Cobble Wax is ready to use and can be worked directly out of the tin. Particularly with more impervious surfaces, it should be warmed up in a water-bath to liquefy it more. The fluid, warm wax will penetrate more deeply and give greater deepening of colour. Apply evenly and thinly, spread and rub in with a fluff-free cloth. You may need to apply treatment twice with strongly absorbent, porous backgrounds. Polish with a brush or polishing pad when dry.

Drying time: approx. 2 hours to polishing, can have things put on it after about 12 hours. Where larger amounts are applied, extend the drying time to about 24 hours.

Coverage: For first treatment about 20 m²/litre depending on type of surface, about 40 m²/litre when re-waxing.

Further Treatment

Further care of the antique marble surface treated should be done with Lithofin MN Wash & Clean or Lithofin EASY-CARE, which should always be used with washing water. If the surface becomes matt or dull freshen up with Lithofin MN Care-Sheen or re-wax with Lithofin MN Cobble Wax.

Storage

Closed, cool and dry. Shelf life of approx. 2 years.
